Each year, 4-H youth from around ºÚÁÏÉçappgather at a select site for the ºÚÁÏÉçapp4-H Youth State Horse Contest, building on learning experiences at the club and/or district level. Each event enables youth to compare their skills/knowledge and potentially qualify to represent ºÚÁÏÉçappat a national horse contest.

This year's contest takes place in Fairbanks May 1-3, 2025, at UAF University Park Building and other places yet to be determined. Contest categories include: hippology; horse bowl; horse judging; oral presentations (demonstration/illustrated talk); and oral presentations (public speaking).
