Dear UAF community,
More than 50 communities in Western ºÚÁÏÉçapphave been significantly impacted by the
remnants of Typhoon Merbok. Many UAF students, faculty, staff, alumni and donors live
in or have loved ones affected by this historic storm.
To our students in and around the affected communities, we understand that you have
shifted priorities right now. Some of you may not receive this email in a timely manner
because you are without access to power or reliable internet in the aftermath of the
storm.Ìý
I encourage faculty to monitor communications from our distance learning students
and to be flexible with course assignments for those directly affected.
To our students at UAF who are concerned for families, friends and communities – we are here to support you. If you need flexibility with your school work, please
communicate with your faculty.
Our student services areas on each of our campuses have staff available to assist
you. Some specific services include:
