Apply for UA Teacher Internship Scholarship
黑料社appneeds teachers. The University of 黑料社appis providing scholarships to help those interested in teaching to complete a degree and become a certified teacher for Alaska.
In January, the UA Teacher Internship Scholarship opened its second year for applications. In the Scholarship鈥檚 inaugural year, 75 candidates received support to work toward their degrees in K-12 teaching. The scholarship covers tuition and fees at UA Schools of Education as well as a stipend of up to $10,000 to offset living expenses during the critical full-time internship. The application for this year can be found at the . Applications are due April 1.
The Scholarship supports pre-service teachers across the UA system in undergraduate and post-baccalaureate pathways. At UAF, undergraduate Elementary and Secondary education candidates who have completed at least 60 credits toward their degree can apply. Any student with an AA that covers most of their general education requirements may also be eligible. Individuals who have a Bachelor鈥檚 degree in a field other than education can enter a post-baccalaureate pathway that can be completed in 1-2 years. At UAF there are post-baccalaureate pathways to become an Elementary, Secondary, or Special Education teacher.
