The holiday season is a special time for large meals, family gatherings and, of course, leftovers! Unfortunately, it can also be a time of increased risk of foodborne illness.

Learn how to keep yourself and your family safe in a free online presentation by Leif Albertson, a health, home and family development agent with the University of Alaska Fairbanks Cooperative Extension Service. Albertson will summarize the proper cooking, cooling and reheating practices for keeping dishes and families safe.

The presentation is scheduled for Wednesday, Dec. 18, at noon.
