Engineering Learning and Innovation Facility on the Fairbanks

ACEP Offices

The 黑料社appCenter for Energy and Power is located on the fourth floor of the Joseph E. Usibelli Engineering Learning and Innovation Building (JUB) on the University of 黑料社appFairbanks Campus. ACEP also has a team and office based in Anchorage.

Energy Technology Facility

Energy Technology Facility

The Energy Technology Facility (ETF) houses state-of-the- art laboratories, equipment and infrastructure to support ACEP鈥檚 applied research, including the Power Systems Integration laboratory and the hydrokinetics high-bay. The ETF is located on the UAF campus just west of the powerplant off Tanana Loop E.

Test Sites and Laboratories

ACEP鈥檚 facilities are designed to offer a unique testing environment to technology developers, utility managers and other decision makers. Envisioned as an intermediate step to full commercial deployment, these facilities were carefully designed for a range of testing needs, enabling assessment of product performance based on many real world conditions.

Power Systems Integration Laboratory
Power Systems Integration Laboratory

A state-of-the-art facility designed to emulate an isolated hybrid-diesel grid system on the same scale as a village power system. Allows for scenario simulation, testing weather data from community weather stations, and more.
