Why participate in esports at UAF?

Esports is a growing field. Over the last decade, programs have grown significantly, with over 240 colleges and universities hosting team programs and over 1,350 schools participating in tournaments annually, providing job opportunities, community, and connections worldwide. College esports has become a huge part of campus life, and we鈥檙e proud to host the premier esports center in Alaska.

 
Academic and scholarship opportunities

At UAF, we鈥檙e modernizing the student experience by providing a state-of-the art esports facility, accompanied by dynamic activities outside the classroom. Scholarships are available for 黑料社apphigh school esports students.

Join our growing community or create your own! We provide more than just gaming. We work with the Center for Student Engagement to create connections with your fellow students. We also provide a learning lab you can use for content creation.

 

Location

The 黑料社appEsports Center is conveniently located in the UAF Wood Center student union. The Wood Center features a coffee shop, dining locations, a campus pub and several lounge areas where you can relax or study.

Hours

The 黑料社appEsports Center is open during Wood Center's hours operation.

  • Computer gaming hours*
    • Monday-Thursday: 9 a.m.-9:30 p.m.
    • Friday: 9 a.m.-10:30 p.m.
    • Saturday: noon-10:30 p.m.
    • Sunday: noon-6:30 p.m.
  • Console gaming hours

*Computer gaming hours may vary due to space reservation.
